Dana Franklin Hairston

Dana Franklin Hairston, 85, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Mulberry Creek Nursing Home. He was born March 18, 1938 in Henry County to the late Dana Franklin Hairston, Jr. and Sarah Preston Hairston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Lee and Bennie Hairston.

He was a 1957 graduate of Carver High School and had been employed for 20 years at Continental Can Company. He enjoyed working on cars.

Dana is survived by his sister, Fern Hairston; and brother, Robert Hairston (Linda).

There will be a Floating Visitation on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1445 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, Virginia. The Graveside Service will be Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Carver Memorial Gardens.
