Daniel Pillow

Daniel "Boone" Emory Pillow, born March 19, 1961, passed away peacefully and painlessly after a weeklong battle of acute heart failure on January 23, 2024 at 4:01 AM with his family present.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 32 years, Eileen Jean Boggs Pillow; his daughter, Autumn Leigh; his stepson, Chris Boggs; his sister, Christi Lynn Pillow Foss (Tom Foss) of Bedford; his brother, Anthony, Lowen (Angel) of Covington, GA; his brother, Jason Lowen (Mendi) of Clifton Forge; his precious mother, Betty Lynn Burks Lowen of Covington; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a close "family" friend, Max Stone. Daniel leaves behind his beloved dog "Stella".

He was preceded in death by his late brother, David Andrew Lowen.

Daniel was known as a jokester with a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He served in the United States Army and worked for a number of years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a caretaker of the elderly. He studied religion and history and quoted many details of both. Danny loved Star Trek and The Beach Boys. He also loved his wife and family dearly and will be forever missed.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. The family is holding A Celebration of Life gathering on Friday evening, January 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be accepted by the family for Eileen Boggs Pillow.
