Daniel (Pinky) M. Waddell

Daniel M. Waddell (Pinky) of Troutville passed away at home Mon. Oct. 13, 2025. He was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Alexandria, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents Sterlie Robnel and Nellie Brown Waddell and brother Sonny Waddell, Jr. He was a veteran of the Air Force and a member of American Legion. A member of Troutville Church of the Brethren. He was a retired brick mason. He was an avid hunter-deer hunter and bear. He loved to hunt at night with his dogs. Unable to hunt, he started making canes and sticks.

He is survived by his wife of 61yrs. Nancy Heslep Waddell, son, Michael L. Waddell, granddaughter Tyler Lee Waddell, who he was so proud of. Granddogs and cats, sister Sylvia Dickerson (James Durham), sister- in – laws Carol Waddell, Pat Hall, brothers-in-law, Roger Heslep (Myrteen) Richard Heslep, nieces and nephews.
