Daniel Potter Ray Deel

Daniel Potter Ray Deel, 75, formerly of Botetourt County, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Beulah Ray Deel; infant siblings, Barbara Catherine, Thomas Everette, and Wallace McDonald Deel; sisters, Phyllis Deel and Imo Ann Moseley; and brothers, Luther and Calvin Deel. He is survived by his daughter, Charity “Angie” Malone and husband, Timothy; son, Jeffrey Deel; wife, Sally Deel; grandchildren, Nicolas Reed, Timothy Reed, Christopher Reed, Samantha Malone, Jackson Malone, and Logen Malone; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Otto Van Reed; sister, Helen Hodges, step-grandchildren, Sydney, Kaley, and Avery Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm Monday, July 8, 2024 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan. Funeral services will be held1pm Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Danny Quirin officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery.
