Danny Wayne Phelps

Danny Wayne Phelps, 61, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born in Danville, VA on May 1, 1964 to Mrs. Sarah Butts Phelps and the late Mac Phelps. He is also survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Lisa Phelps.

Danny was of the Christian Faith, and worked for years in construction at Tony Boswell Construction previous to his retirement.

In addition to his loving wife and mother, Danny is survived by a son; Jonathan Phelps; a stepson; Joey Shelton; a stepdaughter; Angie Parsons; a brother; Mike Phelps and wife Vickie; two sisters; Cathy Durham and Tammy Shelton Harville and husband Kevin; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Danny was predeceased by his grandparents; Henry and Nannie Butts and Robert and Eva Phelps.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 7:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. A visitation will be conducted just prior to the service on the same day from 6-7:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
