Dave Lavander Cox

Dave Lavander Cox, 72, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Roanoke Carilion Memorial Hospital. He was born April 28, 1950, in Bell, Texas to the late Jessie Lavander Cox and Dollie Dee Webb Cox. He was a truck driver and enjoyed working. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Ann Nickles Cox; and brother, James Leon Cox. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthis Marie Cox Rathle and Robin Cox Leary; sons, David R. Cox, Donnie Burkes and Jason Burkes; sister, Debra Cox Crook; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and special friend, Deborah Hylton. All services will be private.
