David Bruce Bernard

David Bruce Bernard, 73, of Danville, VA passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born August 26, 1950, in Danville to the late Joseph Lee Bernard and the late Annie Lancaster Bernard.

David was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle, and he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Carter Bernard; sister, Jo Ann Chattin (Dan); brother, Buddy Bernard; sisters-in-law, Judy Bernard, and Ann Bernard; brother-in-law, Dennis Carter (Lois); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, James E. Bernard, and Micheal T. Bernard.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, at Danville Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Danny Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
