David George Douglas

David George Douglas, Jr., born September 9, 1970, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 25, 2026 after a long illness.

He is survived by his parents, David G. Douglas, Sr. and Pearline C. Douglas; his sister, Susan Smith; his niece, Raegan Smith, and dear friends, Vivian Montgomery and Randy Webb.

He was preceded in death by his best friend and partner in crime, Claudy Maupin, whom he called "My Brother".

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, Rustburg on Friday, March 6, 2026 with Pastor Jennifer Moore officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 2680 Bethany Road, Rustburg, VA 24588.
