David Wayne Reep

David Wayne Reep, 59, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father James Walter Reep; and brother, Gregory Allen Reep.

David is survived by his wife of 30 years, Janet Lynn Reep; children, Kaitlyn Michelle Reep (Tyler Chumbley), and Alexander Wayne Reep; mother, Louise Reep; brother, Donald Reep; sister, Patricia Wilson (Clifton); mother-in-law, Marie Crowder; sister-in-law, Lisa Nelson (Rusty); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

David served his country for many years in the Navy, most notably serving aboard the USS Midway in Japan. David enjoyed photography as a hobby, as well as serving the community as an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. He loved the outdoors and could never sit still.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in David’s name to either the Boy Scouts of America or Oak Grove Church of the Brethren.

Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Church of The Brethren with Pastor Tim Harvey officiating. The family will gather with friends following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. (540)366-0707.
