David Wayne Watson

David Wayne Watson, age 66 of Penhook passed away Monday, August 28, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Richard Watson and Carol McHenry Watson and a sister, Shawn Gamangasso. Surviving David is his wife of 42 years, Stephanie Wengel Watson; daughter, Stacy Ward; grandchildren, Kylee Ward, Liam Gower and Abbey Gower; sisters, Brenda Willden and Bobbi Carlston (Ray); brother, Tom Watson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Mikeska along with numerous nieces and nephews. David served his country as a Sargent in the Marine Corps for 12 years. He loved horses and enjoyed target practice, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the home (4020 Hatchett Road, Penhook, VA 24137) 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
