David William Gray

David William Gray, 83, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025. David was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on June 22, 1941 to the late Mazie Smiley Gray and the late John Gray. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Cathy Gray.

David was of the Baptist Faith. He worked for many years as a registered nurse, previous to his retirement. He also proudly served his country as a Medic in the U.S. Air Force.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by a son; David William Gray Jr. (Tracy) of Dade City, FL; two daughters; Tammi Delahoz (William Graves) and Michelle Kennedy, both of Port Orange, FL; two sisters; Irene Barr (Jerry) and Mary Belch; seven grandchildren; Kameron, Alexis, Gabrielle, Isabella, Savannah, Shelbie, and Sophia; and six great grandchildren; Audrey, Liberty, Richie, Addie, Eleanor, and Ruthie.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by a sister; Betty Gallagher and two brothers John and Harold Gray.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 1:00pm at Danville Memorial Gardens, Danville, VA with Pastor Joey Bray officiating.
