Dawn Sheryl Bowling

Dawn Sheryl Bowling, age 76 of Chester, VA and formerly of Ferrum passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025. Dawn was born November 6, 1948 to the late Buel and Ethel Bowling. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Bette Wilson; and her twin brothers, Gary and Larry Bowling. She is survived by her sister, Deanne Lloyd of Greensboro, NC; twin-sister, Dale Moore of Chester, VA; her sister-in-law, Joyce Bowling of Ferrum, VA, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Dawn attended Ferrum College and worked in the admission office for many years. She loved to play games, especially card games and Yahtzee. She brightened up whenever she saw a baby, calling them angels. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Chesterfield County Fire and Rescue. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Liz Lazenby officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
