Deborah Ann "Debbie" Austin Murphy

Ms. Deborah Ann “Debbie” Austin Murphy, age 64, of Mount Airy, NC passed away on Saturday morning February 11, 2023, at Northern Regional Hospital. She was born January 2, 1959, in Rockingham County, New Hampshire to Francina Stone Heywood and the late Meredith Austin. She was retired form the medical field and proudly served our country in the US Army. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shawn P. Murphy, Joshua Murphy, and Daniel Murphy; her “adopted” daughter, Angela Bush; her grandchildren, Madison Murphy, Caden Murphy, Khiran Murphy, Emily Brindle, Aebry Murphy, Erin Murphy, and Gaberiel Murphy; and a great granddaughter on the way, Evianna Ann; mother and stepfather, Francina and Paul Heywood; her significant other, Michael Fielders; brothers, Robert Allan Austin and wife Allyssa, and Steven Edward Austin; sister, Karen Austin; niece, Nicole, and nephew, Micheal; and the father of her children, Timothy Murphy. Ms. Murphy was preceded in death by her father, Meredith Austin. There will be a celebration of Debbie’s life at a later date. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Murphy family.
