Deborah Jeanette Chisom Obituary
Debbie Chisom, 67, of Roanoke County was called home unexpectedly to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Margie Chisom, and her brother Oscar “Pete” Chisom, Jr. Debbie retired from ITT Night Vision, Roanoke, VA. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jonathan “Jon” Chisom, who was her pride and joy; her aunts, Juliann Witt, Arbutus Spradlin, Rosetta Wilson and Ola Rierson, a special uncle Bill Wilson and numerous cousins. She also leaves behind her special neighbors, Sherry Blackwell and Theresa Cassity, who were like family to her.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all who have shared their love, prayers and condolences during this difficult time. Debbie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on March 22, 2026, from 2p.m.- 4p.m. and 6p.m. – 8p.m. at Lotz funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24016.

A memorial service for Debbie will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2026 at Lotz Funeral Home Roanoke Chapel with Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Virginia.
