Devin Wayne Coleman, 21, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born May 8, 2002, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Darryl Dwayne Coleman and Amy Marie Dalton Coleman.He was preceded in death by aunt, Amanda Fretwell; and paternal grandfather, Darrell Coleman.Devin was a Franklin County High School graduate, class of 2020. He loved his baby boy and being a father to Jaxson. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, mudding, and jeeps. Devin was a little feisty and stubborn but was always happy.In addition to his parents, he is survived by son, Jaxson Reid Coleman; mother of his son, Hailey Smith; sister, Kayla Nicole Coleman; Aunts, Holly Fretwell (Travis), Ashley Coleman, and Tammy Coleman; paternal grandmother, Loretta Coleman; maternal grandparents, Nita Fretwell and Dwight Fretwell; and cousins, Raegan Cooley, Kendall Cooley, Carlie Cooley, Misty Coleman, Brooklynn Hylton, Cameron Holloway, Logan Reeves, Landon Altice, and Mason Barnes.A memorial service will be held at a later date.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
