Diahanna Lynne Deuel

Diahanna Closs Deuel passed away peacefully at her home May 28, 2025 following a courageous battle with ALS. Diahanna was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Joyce Closs.

She is survived by her devoted husband Jeffrey Deuel; her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Vicki Woods; her grandson Benjamin Woods; her brother Charles Closs (Heather); Sisters Kathryn Closs {Caesar); Christina McDermott (John); and her caregiver Becky Young; and good friends Chris Baldwin and Sue Thorton

Diahanna had a very special relationship with her extended family, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law that loved her as a sister.

Diahanna was born in New Berlin, NY, grew up in Afton, NY where she met her husband of 26 years. They enjoyed life together in New York, North Carolina and Virginia. She was a loyal and hard-working manager in retail for over 30 years. She shared with her husband a love of motorcycling, touring the East Coast together. Diahanna also loved traveling, cooking and entertaining. Her kindness always apparent, sharing love and laughter with her family and friends. She had a sense of humor everyone enjoyed and she kept us all on our toes.

The love between Diahanna and Jeff was beautiful, fun and endearing.
