Diana Fridley

Diana “Susan” Steele Fridley, age 75, of 2200 Kanawha Trail, Covington, Virginia died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.
She was born June 2, 1948 in Covington to the late Nina Eloise Seay. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Dunlap Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling and ceramics, and loved kids and animals.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, James Seay; a sister, Sue Cobb; and her special companions, Sammy and Katie.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert Lanier Fridley of Covington; two daughters, Katrina Fridley Ragsdale and husband Bobby of Danville and Jennifer Eleanor Fridley of Covington; two sisters, Pam Burks and husband Buddy, and Gail Wolfe and husband Gerald; two brothers, David Seay and wife Marissa, and Daniel Seay and wife Stephanie, all of Covington; two grandchildren, Jacob Paul Burdette and Shelby Audrionna Craft; a special niece, Marie States; and a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Larry Atkin and Reverend Melvin “Buddy” Burks officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington. Pallbearers will be Sean Kelly, Michael Fridley, Richard Fridley, Larry Canterbury, Jonathan Crossland, Brian Crossland, Bucky Johnson, Gerald Wolfe, Charles “Chucky” Bartley and Bobby Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Vass, Jerry Ruble, Delmas Burns and Lewis Burns. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Dunlap Christian Church, 2353 Kanawha Trail, Covington, VA 24426 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
