Donal Leroy Williams

Donal Leroy Williams, 67, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on April 1, 1957, he was the son of the late Donald Eugene Williams and Lorene Schmidt Christy.

Donal is survived by his best friend, Mary Floyd Price, whom he always affectionately referred to as "My Mary, forever and always." He also leaves behind children, Jennifer Culbertson (Bret), Russell Floyd, and David Floyd (Lekeisha); 10 grandchildren, Christian Davis-Floyd, Haily Davis-Floyd, Tabitha Floyd, Holly Floyd, Russell Adam Floyd, Jr., Nicole Floyd, Zach Floyd, Eslie Lowden, Michael Culbertson and Ethan Culbertson; one great grandchild, Aiden Scott, as well as his two sisters, Katherine Grabenhofer and Barbara Williams. Donal was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Allen Williams.

Known for his big heart and generosity, Donal was always there for others, putting their needs above his own. A man of deep faith, he loved the Lord and faithfully watched Thomas Road Baptist Church services every Sunday.

A memorial service to honor Donal’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Donal's memory.

Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, Donal's loving spirit and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
