Donald "Don" Franklin Sprinkle

Mr. Donald “Don” Franklin Sprinkle, 63, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away January 10, 2025. Born October 5, 1961, to the late Charles Franklin and Kathlene Brindle Sprinkle. Don worked 41 years for the United States Postal Service, where he had a dedication to his patrons on his mail route. He often made special connections with those he served while working for the post office. He played a huge part in helping run the family farm for years where they had hogs, cows, tobacco and corn. Don was probably best known for his sense of humor; he was a joy to be around and had numerous friends that he loved to pick and carry on with. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His heart truly was two times too big. To know him was to be loved by him, and he loved big. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Amy Sprinkle; daughters and son-in-law, Whitney Collins and Brandon, and Sasha Sprinkle and Justin McCraw, sons and daughter-in-law, Vaughn Wright and Elizabeth, and Dylan Sawyers; grandchildren, Westyn McCraw, Lawson McCraw, Carter Collins, Cade Collins, Madyson Collins, Landon Wright, and Jaelynn Wright; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa Sizemore and Buddy, and Susan Tolley and Tony; nieces and nephews, Morgan Spicer and Andy, Cameron Tolley, and David Sizemore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jayden Wright. The family will receive friends Wednesday night, January 15, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church, the body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Sprinkle family.
