Donald Whitney Clark

Donald Whitney Clark, 80, passed away September 8, 2025 at Fairmont Crossing Health & Rehab Center of Amherst, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jill Clark. Don was born and raised on a dairy farm in Fairfax County, Virginia to his parents the late Wilbur B. Clark, Sr. and late Louis Talbot Clark, and is also predeceased by his three brothers Wilbur, Jr., Lawrence, and Wayne. He is also survived by his nephews David, Joseph, and Robert Clark and his niece, Melinda Caplinger as well as his extended family and many dear friends.

He attended Ferrum Junior College and graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Parks and Recreation. He worked for Fairfax County Park Authority as a district maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 1997. Don had a strong calling to enjoy and surround himself with nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved spending time with his dog, Bo.

He and Jill moved from Northern Virginia to Amherst in 2010 where they loved living on their beautiful farm until his death. Don and Jill were members of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Amherst.

Don’s final wishes were to be that he remained on his beloved farm for eternity. So be it.
