Donna Faye Neighbors

September 2, 1954 - July 9, 2025

Donna Faye Neighbors, 70, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.

Born on September 2, 1954, in Lynchburg, VA, Donna was the daughter of the late David P. Davis and Bessie S. Hall. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Cawthorne.

A vibrant, loving, and creative soul, Donna lived life with joy and intention. She loved the Lord and found peace and purpose in her faith. Her warmth and radiant personality touched everyone who knew her.

Donna had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—shopping at her favorite store, TJ Maxx, having lunch with her best friend, traveling to new places, walking along the beach, and being surrounded by beautiful flowers. She had a talent for creating beauty wherever she went, whether it was decorating her home or in the way she carried herself. Known affectionately as the “self-care queen,” Donna always looked stylish and elegant. She believed in taking care of herself, not out of vanity, but as a celebration of who God created her to be.

More than anything, Donna cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Whether it was a family trip, a holiday gathering, or a simple moment at home, she treasured every second.

Left to honor and remember her beautiful spirit is her devoted husband of 52 years, Michael E. Neighbors; three daughters, Christy Davis (David), Katrina Morris (Scott), and Colby Compton (Denver); six grandchildren, Sydney Engel (Isaiah), Gabriel Morris (Jasmine), Abigail Morris, Avery Morris, Bryn Compton, and Blakely Compton; one great-grandson, Dawson Engel; and one brother, Frankie Davis (Pam).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Adams officiating. Donna will be laid to rest following the service at the Neighbors-Arthur Family Cemetery.

Though Donna's physical presence will be deeply missed, her love, strength, and the beauty she brought into the lives of others will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
