Donna Kay Robertson McFalls
Donna Kay Robertson McFalls, 74, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Born on April 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. Robertson and Doris D. Robertson. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, David W. McFalls, and her sister, Sandra R. Hicks.
Donna retired from Central Virginia Training Center after 38 years of service. She will be remembered for her cooking, kind heart, and simple way of living. A minimalist long before it was popular, she found joy in life’s small pleasures. She loved all animals, especially cats, and was happiest spending time outdoors, taking walks, bird watching, playing bingo, and enjoying a cup of coffee. She had a generous nature and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park, with Pastor David Turner officiating. Those attending are invited to dress casually in honor of Donna’s simple and laid-back style.
She is survived by her loving brother, Dicky Robertson (Nancy); niece, Trina Long (Stuart); nephews, Jason Hicks (Alicia), Michael Robertson (Lauren), and Adam Robertson; special aunt, Maxine Dean; lifelong friend, Debbie Hedrick; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Donna’s memory to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502, www.lynchburghumane.org, or World Central Kitchen at www.wck.org.
