Donna Lucas Keffer
Donna Melissa Lucas Keffer, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at her home in Staffordsville, VA. Born on August 10, 1972, in Princeton, WV, Donna's life was a testament to love, family, and the joy found in the simple pleasures of life.
Donna was the beloved spouse of George William Keffer III, known affectionately as Billy; to whom she was a devoted partner in every sense. Donna's love and legacy live on through her daughters, Brittany Mills (married to Justin) and Carie Gravely (married to Randy), who will forever cherish the wisdom and care their mother bestowed upon them. Donna's joy multiplied with the birth of each grandchild. She was a doting grandmother to McKinna Mills, Harlee Mills, Sophia Lucas, Hollie Lucas; Including her grandchildren in heaven Emersyn and Weston Gravely, Aiden Wilson, Taylor Wile, and Liam Mills. She is survived by her brothers, Tony Lucas (married to Beth), Marvin Lucas, and Billy Lucas Jr (married to Shelia), and her sister, Patty Daugherty. Donna also leaves behind her dear aunt Martha Lucas and uncle Jimmy Cooper, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her guiding presence and spirited conversations.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack Arthur Lucas and Myra Cooper Lucas, and her sisters, Delta Dawn Lucas, Linda Lucas, and Darlene Howell. Donna's interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She had an unwavering love for dogs, finding companionship and joy in their loyal presence. But above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Donna's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by their laughter and play, and she dedicated much of her time to creating cherished memories with them.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Funeral services will conclude in Angels Rest Memorial Gardens in Narrows, Virginia where she will be laid to rest.
