Doris Bryant Campbell

Doris Bryant Campbell, 92, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

Born on June 13, 1932, in Lovingston, she was the daughter of the late Lawton W. Bradley and Annie K. Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Bryant, Jr. “Pop”; a daughter, Denise Bryant Fitzgerald; and her son-in-law, Linwood Lee Hurst, Jr.

Doris loved her family and was famous for her delicious potato salad. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers, she loved to crochet and enjoyed traveling. Her heart always had a soft spot for animals, and she had many beloved pets over the years.

She is survived by her son, Gregory N. Bryant and his wife Diane; two daughters, Wanda B. Hurst and Cindy Treadway and her husband Eddie; two sisters, Linda Blackwell and Dorothy Hoenes; grandchildren; Elizabeth Hurst Wolf, Season Hurst Smith (Ashley), Linwood Neil Hurst (Regina), Justin Fitzgerald, Katie Powell (Paul), Samantha Goodwin (Kris), Mary Treadway, Chris Mehaffey; great grandchildren, Taylor Hurst (Amanda), L. Stiles Hurst, Lilah Mehaffey, Meyah Hurst, Myleigh Hurst, Charlotte Powell, Dylan Powell, Harper Goodwin, Everly Goodwin, Mason Johnson, Lilah Mehaffey, Maggie Smith and Walker Lee Smith; and great great grandchildren, Alyssa Williams, Madison Hurst and Brayden Hurst.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery, 4434 Thomas Nelson Highway (Rt. 29) Arrington, Virginia, 22922.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
