Doris Jean Strickler Landes

Doris Jean Strickler Landes, 76, of Roanoke passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was a daughter of the late George Strickler and Louise. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Henry Landes; a stepdaughter, Margie Massey; two sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are her children, Gerald “Shorty” Landes and Rhonda Landes and fiancé, Maurice Jones; stepson, Jerry Landes; sister, Ann Duke and husband, Will; grandchildren, Christopher, Samuel, Heaven, Ramey, Kimberly, Adam and Christina; and great-grandchildren; special niece, Ann Marie “Cricket”; and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held at 11 am, Friday, September 6, 2024, with Pastor Brian Geiser officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Boones Mill.
