Dorma "Aline" Crockett

Dorma “Aline” Crockett, 90 of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

She was born in Wytheville, Va. on June 18, 1934, daughter of the late Bernard and Dorma Puckett Coleman. She was a member of Christian Life International, but family will remember her most as a loving mother, wife, nana, and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Aline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Crockett Jr.; brothers, Harlan, Glen, and Bernard Coleman Jr.; sisters, Inez Lanter, Jean Carty, and Fairy Stanley.

Family remaining to cherish her memory include her children, Karen Bradley (Walter) and Gary Crockett; granddaughter, Sara Pierce (John); great-grandson, Eric Pierce; special niece, Dee Griffith; and nine nephews.

The family will welcome friends for a period of visitation on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, in Salem.

Funeral services to honor Aline’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Pastor Vannie Harrell will officiate. Additional sentiments will be offered by Pastor Debbie Hutton.

Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, also in Salem.
