Douglas Tyler Watson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Staff Sergeant Douglas Tyler Watson USMC on May 17, 2024 in Bethesda, MD.
Douglas was born on November 2, 1990 in Eden, N.C. to the late Douglas Wayne Watson and Sandra Austin Clifton. In addition to his father he preceded in death by his Grandfather, Lester King, Grandmother, Mona Brooks, Great Grandmother, Evelyn Gilkeson, Great Grandfather, Bernard Gilkeson and Favorite Uncle, Robert Irvin Gilkeson. Douglas was a 2009 graduate of Patrick County High School and have served in the United States Marine Corps for the past 14 years and was currently station at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

In addition to his Mother, Douglas is survived by Daughters, Annalyn Louise Watson and Athena Marie Slaymaker, Sister, Whitney Anne Garcia (Alex), Brothers, Travis James Koester (Brooke) and Chase Dwayne Watson (Esme), Nieces, Phoenix Clifton and Madilyn Koester, Nephew, Ryder Brown, Stepfather, Albert Clifton, Stepbrothers, Michael Clifton and Christopher Day (Melissa), Grandmothers, Evelyn King and Shirley Martin, numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
