Doyle Powell Wade

Doyle Powell Wade, 89, of Lynchburg stepped into his Lord and Saviors arms on Monday, November 3, 2025. He was the son of the late Raymond Terrell Wade and Lorraine Poston Wade.

Born August 8, 1936 Doyle was the kind of man who knew what he believed and deeply understood it. A biblical man, he could quote you any verse on the bible and apply it to whatever you may be facing in life to help lift your spirit. Doyle knew the word of God and listened to him passionately. He was a caring man, and lived with and cared for his mother until her passing as well. Doyle will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Doyle’s memory include his niece Kimberly Peak; his nephew Emmitt Harler; and his great-nephews Daniel Peak and Brandon Peak.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 5-7pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. There will be a celebration of Doyle’s life on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11am at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
