Dr. Efiong Etuk

Dr. Efiong Etuk, age 85, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Dr. Etuk was an Author, a Professor of Sociology and Creative Problem Solving and taught all levels of education. He was also the Founder of the Global Creativity Network, and a member of Blacksburg Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Kate Etuk; daughters and son-in-law, Enobong Etuk (Pascual Odungide), Uwem Etuk; sons, Nathaniel Chukwudi, Destiny Etuk, Nelson Etuk; grandchildren, Lena, Tehilla, and Iziaah. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Blacksburg Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Church of Christ or to Blacksburg Rescue Squad.
