Earl Leon Kelley

Earl “Doody” Leon Kelley, 71, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mae Kelley; and siblings, Harry Kelley, Ralph Kelley, Robert Kelley, and Betty Sue Kelley.

Doody is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cindy Kelley; children, Georgette Jenkins, David Jenkins, and Elizabeth Dressler (Douglas); grandchildren, Sukanah Al-Mosawy and Neveah Jenkins; and siblings, Virginia Overstreet, Richard Kelley, and James Kelley (Natalie).

He was a loving, kind soul who worked for Walker Foundry for many years. He would give you the shirt off his back as he cared for many people. Doody’s personality gave you warmth and joy. He loved his rollator, tablet, headphones, coffee, and the occasional Nutty Bar. Doody’s memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will have a Visitation on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.
