Edd Warren Mills

Edd Warren Mills, 64, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1959, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Sammy Warren Mills and Rebecca Cox Mills.

Edd worked at Stone Container in the shipping department until his retirement in 2006. Edd attended Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. He was a member of The Fontaine Ruritan Club, Crimestoppers, and The Gideons. In his spare time, Edd enjoyed watching and reading westerns, particularly anything written by Louis L’Amour. In his earlier years, he attended square dances. He liked listening to country music, playing games with his daughter, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Edd is survived by his wife of 36 years, Amy Mills; one daughter, Molly Ann Mills; and a host of other family and friends.

There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Bassett Funeral Service, with Pastor Clyde DeLoach and George Gorman officiating. The Mills family will accept friends one hour prior to the service. A burial will immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, Virginia.
