Eddie Wayne Foley

Eddie Wayne Foley, 63, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024 at Gaston Health & Rehab after decline in health.He was born in Martinsville, Virginia, on August 4, 1961, to Carolyn Manning Foley and the late Bobby Wayne Foley. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Lorraine Foley. Eddie attended Calvary Baptist Church and worked for Piedmont Airlines, US Airways and later retired from American Airlines in maintenance. He enjoyed his jobs at the airlines, and also aviation, especially airplanes and helicopters. He also enjoyed talking politics. He was a beloved son, father, and grandfather. Eddie loved his girls and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a good father…Eddie leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother of Gastonia, N.C., he is survived by his daughter, Beni Shania Foley Amargo and husband, Louis and his grandson, Oliver Louis Amargo along with many other extended family, friends, especially his uncles, aunts and many cousins. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, September 28th at Collins-McKee- Stone Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Drive, Bassett, VA 24055. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
