Edith Robertson McMinnis

Edith Robertson McMinnis went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2023. Edith was born on August 29, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore Roosevelt Robertson and Maybelle B. Robertson; her loving husband of 61 years Marshall H. McMinnis and sisters Virginia Willard, Beatrice Strickland and Dottie McMinnis.
Surviving are her son Marshall (Buddy) McMinnis and wife Rita; daughter Sandra Clingenpeel and husband Harry; sisters Coleen Wittig, Verda Jean Fralin; numerous grandkids and great-grandkids.
Edith had a never-ending Christian Faith and was a long-time member of Vandolah Baptist Church in Danville, VA. She had a love of quilting, sewing, antiques and a passion for gardening. She owned numerous businesses throughout the years and operated her business until she was 90 years old. She was always motivated and self-reliant. She will be sadly missed by many.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday from the Dillion-McGuire-Willard Memorial Gardens with Rev. Melvin Harris officiating.
