Edward Franklin Vanness

Edward “Sonny” Franklin VanNess, 84, of Eagle Rock, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayborne and Ruby VanNess; and sisters, Iris, Edith, and Joann.

He is survived by his daughter, Lori VanNess; grandchildren, Clayton and Mackenzie Gilkeson; sisters, Shirley and Hilda; brother, Gary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Jay Richards officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfuneralhome.com.
