Edward "Jack" Jackson Perkins

EDWARD JACKSON (“JACK”) PERKINS, 83, of Pearisburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. “Jack” was born on May 28, 1941, the son of Edward & Dolly Burton Perkins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Perkins, his two sisters, Dorothy Perkins and Sylvia Perkins and his daughter, Karen Perkins Poff.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the Celanese Corporation. He was a member of the Thessalia Community Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Ella Williams Perkins; his brother, Elwood Perkins; his sister-in-law, Judy Perkins; his son & daughter-in-law, Ellis & Sherri Perkins; his grandchildren, Candice Hale, Amanda Hale, Ashley & T.J. Fortner, Allie & Demontrae Andrews and Abigail Perkins; and ten great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Charles Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park where military rites will be provided by the Giles County American Legion Posts  #311 and #68 and VFW Post #6000.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
