Edward Lekan

Edward Peter “Jake” Lekan, age 73, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at his residence.
Jake was born on February 23, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward John and Dorothy Josephine Walters Lekan. He received a B.S. Degree in Microbiology from Florida Southern University, and served in the United States Army and Army Reserve. He was a Health Inspector for the Alleghany Highland Public Health system and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Covington.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Marie Smith Lekan of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Lynsi Rice (Andrew) of Roanoke; two sons, Edward “Ryan” Lekan (Ashlie) of Lemoore, CA and Austin “A.J.” Lekan of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Devin, Holtz, and Chloe; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services scheduled.
