Edward Robert Hudson

Edward Robert Hudson, age 73 of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born December 4, 1949, a son of the late John Fuller and Gertrude Arrington Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Scruggs Hudson; brother, Jerry Fuller Hudson; and sister, Vicky Hudson Bowles. Edward was retired from Fleetwood Homes after 43 years of service. Surviving are his sister, Annie Wren Boyd and husband Tony; nephews and nieces, Billy Davis and wife Cindy, Tony Boyd, Jr., John Slade Boyd, Seth Robert Boyd, Hannah O’Sullivan, Tina Hudson and Wendy Landrigan; two special nephews, Jonathan and Joshua; and special niece, Nicole. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 with Pastor Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
