Elizabeth Ann Miller Browder

October 17, 1942 - February 4, 2025

Elizabeth Ann Miller Browder, 82, of Salem passed away at her residence on February 4, 2025.

A native of Virginia she was the wife of the late Jerry Douglas Browder and daughter of Oscar R. Miller and Ruby M. Miller, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael “Mike” Browder. Elizabeth graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1961. She retired from Southern Refrigeration Corporation. Elizabeth was a member of Fellowship Community Church.

Elizabeth loved spending time outdoors which included spending a day in the meadow to vacationing at the beach. She always took note of the wonders of God’s landscape in every setting. Elizabeth was known for having a green thumb and enjoyed her vegetable garden and growing beautiful flowers and other plants both indoors and out. She loved animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels who would visit her deck every day.

Elizabeth was a devoted mother. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lisa Browder of Salem; sister, Christine Miller of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Gretta Santo and husband Frank of Hernando Beach, FL; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Lotz Funeral Home on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and special caregiver Jody Johnson for the kindness, love and support shown to Elizabeth.
