Elizabeth Naff Bussey Webster “Lib”, age 102 of Rocky Mount, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Born May 10, 1920 in Boones Mill, VA, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Keith Bussey Sr. and Sarah Susan Naff Bussey. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Franklin Webster, brother Lewis Keith Bussey, Jr., his wife Helen Martin Bussey, sister Gwendolyn Bussey Dickens, her husband Thomas Seward Dickens, Jr., sister Sue Bussey Wallace, her husband John E. Wallace, mother and father in law Martha and Warren Webster, sisters in law Helen Webster, Christine Wagner, Geraldine Hylton, brother in law Howard Webster, nephew Richard Hylton, great niece Lori Hylton, and great nephew Christopher Hylton. Elizabeth was a graduate of Boones Mill High School, National Business College, and attended classes at Ferrum College and Virginia Western Community College. She was employed by Peoples National Bank and its successors for 47 years retiring in 1985 as Senior Vice President. Elizabeth was an active member of Rocky Mount Christian Church serving as a member of the choir, the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and former Organist for many years. She was a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce where she served as a Board member for several years and was the first woman to receive the Marshall Flora Award in 1993. She was also a member of the Franklin County Association / Family and Community Education, Rockview FCE, Franklin County Chapter of the American Heart Association, Franklin County Historical Society, DAR, and the Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she served on the Love Light Tree committee. Elizabeth loved knitting, reading, and genealogy.
 
Lib is survived by nieces Sue (Mike) Crane, Stephanie (Mike) Patton, Becky (Chuck) Beadle, Linda Wallace, Carol Michie, Patricia White, Kitty Hylton, and Win Hylton, nephews Larry (Geraldine) Hylton, and Jim Wagner, fifteen great nieces and nephews, and twelve great great nieces and nephews. Lib’s extended family includes her loving caregivers, Becky Crawford, Pam Dudding, Larissa Edwards, Selena Ferguson, Lisa Gusler, Marjorie Huffmyer, Tammie Lee, Stacey Mikles, Moriah Watts, and Charity Wright.
 
The family wishes to thank the staff at Runk & Pratt at Smith Mountain Lake and Medi Home Health and Hospice of Roanoke for their care and devotion to Lib.
 
Visitation will be held at Flora Funeral Service, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by her service at Rocky Mount Christian Church on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill, VA.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Rocky Mount Christian Church, 120 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151-1539.
