Ellen Elizabeth Turner

Ellen Elizabeth Turner, 80, of Danville, VA passed away at her home on Thursday, January 24, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Turner was born in Danville, VA on March 1, 1943 to the late Virginia Wilson Chumley and the late Markey Chumley. She was married to the late Frank Turner. She was of the Baptist faith and worked all her life as a homemaker.

Mrs. Turner is survived by two daughters, Diane McMurry and Kathy Bowman (Ray), two sons, James Gauldin, Jr. (Penny) and Calvin Woodard, a sister, Helen Wilkerson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Turner was predeceased by two daughters, Wendy Wilkins and Shelby Huggins and three sisters, Christine Haynes, Joan Carter, and Louise Owens.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
