She concluded her career as manager at Rock-Tenn Credit Union, retiring after years of dedicated service. In retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially cruises and trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. A spirited poker player, she was affectionately known by her poker friends as “Miss Ellie.”

A woman of great pride in her home and surroundings, she loved decorating and keeping a beautifully maintained yard. She was a member of Monroe Baptist Church and lived her life with grace, generosity, and quiet strength.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice, especially Rosa and Melissa, for their compassionate and loving care in Ellie’s final days.
