Elnora Virginia Franklin

Elnora Virginia Ackers Franklin, 93, of Appomattox, VA was called from labor to reward on December 21, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on March 2, 1931 to the late John and Mary Lizzy Culpepper.

In addition to  her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Franklin and son Leon King; two brothers Deacon Fred Acker, Larnza Culpepper, Sr., three sisters, Alberta Culpepper, Geneva Irving and Louise Ferguson and one daughter-in-law, Eyvon Glover Franklin.

Elnora joined Mt. Airy Baptist Church at an early age.  She loved to sing praises unto the Lord.  One of her memories was singing with the Jordan Aires.  She was employed for years at Amelia Garment Factory of Appomattox.  Elnora was a loving and caring person to her family and friends.  Her two precious jewels Isaac and Ana was a great comfort to her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, William David Franklin, Lloyd Jenkins Franklin (Darlene); four daughters, Vernice Evans (Wayne), Margretta Franklin, Mary Franklin and Jacqueline Mosley (Ronald).  Elnora also leaves to cherish 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
