Elois Baumgardner

October 29, 1932 - March 16, 2025

Elois ‘Lois’ Baumgardner age 92 of Vinton, Va went to be with the Lord Sunday 3/16/2025 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born October 29th, 1932 at Lindside, WV. She was the daughter of late Emmett William and Elsie R. Chisenhall Wilson. Lois was a member of Rainbow Forest Baptist Church and taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She retired from the Commissioner of Revenue for the City of Roanoke as a Deputy Clerk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Lee Baumgardner and beloved son David Hill. She is survived by her daughter Diane and Fred Hill and daughter in law Nickie Law. Her three Grandchildren Amanda and Lee Martin, Steven and Julie Hill, and Ashley Hill Kennedy. Her seven great grandchildren Colton and Claire Martin. Lincoln, Jackson, and Madison Hill. Ellie and Samuel Kennedy.Lois was known for being a prayer warrior and a faithful servant of the Lord. Spending most mornings in prayer for those she loved and knew needed lifting up. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nothing gave Lois more joy than spending time with her family. Lois lived a very active and fulfilling life until her last days she enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and watching live musical performances. Visitation will be Friday 3/21 at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral Services will be held on Friday 3/21 at 11:00am at Lotz Funeral Home in Vinton, with Pastor Jim Kistner and Deacon Gene Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at McDonald-Wilson Family Cemetery in Lindside, West Virginia. Flowers are welcomed or donations may also be made in Lois’ memory to Rainbow Forest Baptist Church.
