Emily "Kaye" Eames Hunt

Emily “Kaye” Eames Hunt, age 60 of Rocky Mount was born September 23, 1964 and passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at her home in Rocky Mount Virginia. She was 60 years old. Kaye was the daughter of her late father, Billy Wayne Eames. Survivors include her mother, Minnie Merle Eames; daughters, Christy Martin and Alicia Eames; eight grandchildren, Octavious Bullock, Ja’Rule Bullock, Chloie Thurman, Aishah Thurman, Liberty Camp, Olivia Barker, Ireland Thurman, Possy Wood, Jr. all of Rocky Mount; two great-grandchildren, Khalil Broadnax, Kennedi Broadnax of Rocky Mount. Kaye was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Wayne Eames. She graduated from Franklin County High School she was a loving person, wild and free. She enjoyed dancing (flat-footing), loved American history, westerns and her grandchildren. Kaye worked at Dudley's Truck Stop for 50 years and drove the bus for Franklin County Public Schools for seven years. Kaye use to haul moonshine back in the day. She loved to write in her journal and had a lot of friends that she cared deeply for as well. She will rest peacefully now she is going to be in a better place and can be free from all pain. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Brown Family Cemetery (Cowans Furnace Road).
