Emma Jane (Peters) Mann

Emma Jane Peters Mann, 89 of Forest, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

She was born in Bedford County on May 6, 1935, daughter of the late Artes A. Peters and the late Estelle B. Peters.

Emma was raised in Big Island and attended Thomas Road Baptist Church and was retired from Lynchburg General Hospital. In her spare time she love to shop and eat at Cracker Barrel.

The family would like to thank the employees of Seven Hills Health & Rehab for the excellent care they gave to Emma.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wanda M. Paris and husband Bryan; two sons, Gary J. Mann and Ricky R. Mann and wife Cheryl as well as five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Rasberry officiating.

The family has requested memorials in Emma’s memory be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
