Emory Owens

Emory Owens, age 80, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia.

Mr. Owens was born on January 29, 1945, in Gary, West Virginia to the late Mildred and Lawrence Owens.

Mr. Owens was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church, was an assistant manager for Old Dutch on North Main in Danville, and loved yard work. He also proudly served our country for the United States Army. 

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife Janet Owens; son, Steven Owens; daughter, Angela Fuqua; grandchildren, Kathryn and Carol Fuqua; as well and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Caroline "Susie" Wagner; brothers, Lawrence "Larry" Owens, Barry Owens, Jerry Owens, and Joe Owens. 

A memorial service for Mr. Owens will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services West End Chapel with Reverend Bob Yeamen officiating. Visitation will be held the day prior on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 7-8 at the funeral home.
