Ena Hall Yates

July 11, 1930 - January 19, 2026

Ena Hall Yates, 95, of Landmark Center of Stuart, Virginia, formerly Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2026, at Stuart Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1930, to the late Herman Clyde Hall and Odessa Rorrer Hall.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, who was her loving soulmate, love of her life, Claude Andrew Yates; son, Michael Dean Yates; daughter, Linda Lee Yates; and her brother, Allen Hall, Sr.  

Ena was a woman of faith and a devoted member of Christ Church United Methodist in Louisville, KY. She dedicated her personal and professional life to caring for others, working faithfully as a nurse. Her compassion, patience, and servant’s heart were evident both in her work and in her everyday life.  

Ena enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, sewing, and reading. She lived quietly but purposefully, touching lives through her kindness and willingness to help others. She and her husband were both very active in the Lions Club at local, state, and national levels, reflecting their commitment to service and community.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00pm at Roselawn Burial Park, with Rev. Norman Biggs (her brother-in-law), officiating.  Vincent Harter, Devyn Harter, John Turner, and Seth Turner will serve as Pallbearers.
