Ercell "Tootsie" Wanda (Carter) Shepperd

Ercell Wanda Carter Shepperd, lovingly known as "Tootsie," passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on September 12th, 1932, Tootsie lived a long life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Ercell is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Shepperd; son, Stanley D. Kelley; and Max, her faithful companion.

She is survived by her children; Donna Quesinberry (Chester), Steven Kelley, David Kelley (Jody), and Karen Webb (Craig); as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tootsie's family was large and the source of her greatest pride.

Tootsie leaves behind a legacy of grace, unconditional love, and strength through overcoming hardships. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family, qualities that will live on in the hearts of all that came to know her.

A celebration of life will be held for Ercell on October 24th, 2025 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5731 Airport Rd. NW, Roanoke, VA 24012 from 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm.
