Ernest E. Boothe

Ernest Everette Boothe of Roanoke, VA , passed away on Friday, April 21st, 2023.  Peacefully in his home at 88 years of age. Born on May 16th,1934. Ernest, son of Lilian and Clarence Boothe, joined his loving wife Hazel Maxine Boothe. 

Ernest also joined his brothers and sisters; Ruth, Audry, Sherman, Michael, Ed, and Mousie Boothe. Currently Ernest’s children; Gene Heiler married to Sue, Everette Boothe, Alvin Boothe married to Lisa Boothe, Regina Hines married to Derrick Hines, and Michelle Berry celebrate his life.

Exceeding his children are his grand children; Michael and Brandy Heiler, Carmen Boothe, Brandon Boothe, Ashley Berry, Connor Boothe. Ernest also had great-grandchildren; Elizabeth and Dylan, Hazel and Greyson, and four great-great grandchildren.

Ernest worked and retired from VDOT as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family. In majority of his spare time he spent with his children and his grandchildren. Outside of enjoying the nature, he enjoyed racing and older model cars.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
