Ernest Willard

Ernest Willard, 90, of Bassett passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at his home.  He was born on May 26, 1932 in Stuart to the late Joe Willard and to the late Lelia Inman Willard.  He served his country in the United States Army.  He was of the Primitive Baptist religion, he had worked at Bassett Superior Lines as a shipping supervisor until 1988 then he worked for Pluma from where he retired in 1997.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Estelle Mae Willard; sons, Ernie J. Willard and Bobby J. Willard; daughter, Rebecca Scott; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Clark.  Burial to follow service.
